Seasonal service terms

Clear expectations before winter begins.

These website terms summarize how the seasonal residential program works. The property-specific written quote and service agreement provided after approval will confirm the final price, approved service areas and any additional property conditions.

1. Season and trigger

The standard season runs from November 1 through April 1. Service is triggered when accumulated snowfall at the service area reaches approximately 5 cm (2 inches). Snowfall below the trigger is not included unless separately agreed in writing.

2. Areas included

The approved residential driveway and front walkway are included. Steps, porches, decks, rear or side walkways, patios, roofs, fire hydrants, curbside mailboxes and other areas are excluded unless they appear in the written quote.

3. Timing and active storms

TrueSet follows a planned route. Exact arrival times are not guaranteed. Timing may change because of storm duration, snowfall rate, drifting, road conditions, municipal restrictions, equipment issues or safety concerns. During long or severe storms, an initial pass and later cleanup may be used at TrueSet’s discretion.

4. Municipal plows and drifting

Municipal plows may leave snow at the end of a driveway after TrueSet has serviced the property. A return visit is not automatically included unless the written agreement says otherwise. Repeat clearing caused by drifting, blowing snow or subsequent accumulation may be scheduled based on route conditions.

5. Access and parked vehicles

Driveways and walkways must be reasonably accessible. Vehicles, bins, cords, toys, decorations and other obstacles must be removed. Areas blocked at the time of service may be left uncleared, and a return visit is not guaranteed. The customer must identify gates, curbs, drains, speed bumps and other concealed features before service begins.

6. Surface conditions

Mechanical snow removal may leave a thin layer of packed snow, particularly on uneven gravel, interlock or damaged surfaces. The customer must disclose loose stones, deteriorated pavement, raised edges and fragile surfaces. TrueSet is not responsible for pre-existing damage or damage caused by concealed or unmarked hazards.

7. Ice and de-icing

Salting, sanding, ice control and removal of hard-packed snow or ice are not included in the standard seasonal service unless specifically added to the written quote. Snow removal reduces accumulation but cannot guarantee bare pavement or eliminate slip-and-fall risk.

8. Customer responsibility

The customer remains responsible for monitoring the property, warning occupants and visitors of winter conditions, and taking reasonable steps to address slippery or unsafe areas between visits. Service does not transfer full responsibility for property safety to TrueSet.

9. Approval, price and payment

Submitting this form is only a request. Service begins only after TrueSet approves the property and route, issues a written quote or agreement, and receives the required acceptance and payment. Pricing is property-specific. Payment instructions and due dates will appear in the approved agreement or invoice.

10. Cancellation and suspension

Cancellation, refunds and any early-termination charges will be set out in the property-specific agreement. TrueSet may suspend or end service for unsafe conditions, inaccessible areas, abusive conduct, non-payment or material changes to the property or agreed scope.

11. Severe weather and events beyond control

TrueSet is not responsible for delay or inability to perform caused by unsafe travel, road closures, emergency orders, extreme weather, equipment failure despite reasonable maintenance, labour disruption or other circumstances beyond reasonable control. Service will resume when reasonably safe and practical.

12. Changes and priority of documents

Property-specific conditions must be confirmed in writing. If these website terms conflict with a signed service agreement or accepted written quote, the signed agreement or accepted quote governs. Website information may be updated before a new seasonal agreement is accepted.
